Introduction/Instructions

Welcome this is a fictional narrative based in Canberra, Australia. The narrative has been embedded onto Google maps. Please note that the story has been based around real places but fictional events, so if you find that your house has been labeled as a place of crime or something else that it is not, don’t be alarmed no such things have ever happened.

This is an interactive narrative that uses Geo-tagged images from Flickr and maps that have been taken straight from Google maps. The narrative has been broken up into chapters each chapter has a series of maps that have been given directions these directions relate completely to where the character in the narrative is traveling.

To interact with this properly each destination has been embedded before the narrative starts, allowing the reader to get an idea of where the character is in regards to positioning. To start the narrative you will need to go to the embedded post called “Anywhere but here – beginning of the narrative”. Each embedded map has been zoomed in on where the narrative starts for that option, so start at the beginning of the line.

There are different coloured markers in each narrative. The Blue is used for the narrative itself in the opening narrative and the First choice. The green marker is used in all narratives to show Geo-tagged images. The red markers in the Second option represent the narrative, The bus icon’s represent that the character is traveling on a bus.

I couldn’t do much to change the format of the Blogger template so the markers that have the narrative in them tend to not fit the screen. To counter this I would recommend that you click on the larger map link underneath the embedded map, which will take to the map directly on Google maps itself.

Other than that everything is fine, so enjoy.
